RTE 1000 Introduction to Radiologic Technology — 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: MAC 1105 and BSC 2085C. This course presents a brief history of radiologic technology code of ethics, conduct for radiography students, fundamentals of radiation protection, and patients rights. This course also teaches the care and handling of the sick and injured patient in the radiology department. It introduces the fundamentals of image production and film processing. Emphasis is placed on infection control and safety of the radiographer, student and patient. Three contact hours. A.S., A.A.S.
