RTE 2308 Radiation Safety and Protection — 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: RTE 1804L and RTE 1814L. This course will pro vide students with an under standing of basic interactions of X-rays with matter, radiation quantities and units. Limits for exposure to ionizing radiation, protection of the patient and occupational care workers during diagnostic procedures, room design and radiation monitoring will also be covered. Three contact hours. A.S., A.A.S.
