 Courses College Credit Courses PHT 1200C Basic Patient Care — 5 Credit Hours Prerequisites: PHT 1000C and admission to the PTA pro gram. Corequisite: PHT 1120C. This course introduces basic patient care and handling techniques. Fundamental skills that are applicable to a wide range of physical therapy interventions are covered. A laboratory component provides students an opportunity to apply and practice skills with an emphasis on safety, effectiveness and efficiency. 8.6 contact hours: three lecture hours, four laboratory hours and 1.6 clinical hours.
