Prerequisites: CGS 1071 and CGS 1824 and CDA 1302 and CDA 1403. Corequisite: CEN 1528. This course is the first of two courses teaching network and internetwork configuration (CEN 1527 and CEN 1528). It is designed for Networking Services Technology majors. Students learn how to design, implement and troubleshoot local area networks with an emphasis on TCP/IP and Ethernet technologies. Although this course is not a certification preparation course, it may include much of the related CompTIA Network+ certification material. Students taking this course should also register for CEN 1528 at the same time. Four contact hours: three lecture hours; one laboratory hour. A.S., A.A.S.
