Workforce Credit Certificate Courses
Prerequisite: High school diploma or equivalency degree. This course is designed to familiarize students with basic concepts and considerations regarding pharmacology and pharmaceutics preparations used in dentistry and by patients; chemical and physical properties, actions, dose, methods of administration, therapeutic usage, side effects, indications and contraindications for pharmaceutic preparations used in dentistry. This course also deals with anticipating and preventing the development of emergency situations in the dental office. The relationship of health and medical histories will be emphasized as well as recognizing and assisting with emergency care of dental patients.
