Corequisite: DEH 1002C. This course is designed to acquaint students with their role as dental hygienists. It provides the necessary instruction and supervised practice in the dental operatory environment. Topics include infection control, instrument sterilization, care of dental equipment, and basic skills development in procedures for delivering services for the oral exam and prophylaxis.
