Associate in Applied Science

Business Administration (Marketing Management) (A313)

If you are drawn to creative projects that also require business savvy, marketing management may be just the right career path for you. The curriculum includes the study of activities necessary to place goods and services in the hands of household consumers and industrial users. Classroom experiences provide a broad understanding of the marketing process as well as specialized knowledge in the various areas of marketing.

The Business Administration program prepares students for employment or advancement in the business profession. The course selections emphasize a business foundation along with the opportunity to focus in marketing or management. Career opportunities in marketing, sales, management, team leadership and supervisory roles exist in practically every industry.

Three technical certificates are included as options within this degree program: Business Operations, Business Management and Marketing. Students may choose to pursue an A.A.S. degree and earn technical certificates while completing the requirements for the degree, or pursue one or more certificate programs to develop or upgrade their skills in a particular field. Contact an advisor or counselor to determine the career education path that is best for you. Students may complete a degree in only one of the two specialty tracks, Management or Marketing. Students who wish to add a second area of specialization after completing a degree should pursue the technical certificate in that area.
