College Credit Courses
Prerequisite: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Class III medical certificate/student pilot license. This course is for students who wish to acquire the training and knowledge required to pilot an airplane and experience solo flight. The course consists of basic flight maneuvers, emergency procedures, radio communications, human factors, Federal Aviation Regulations, etc. The course requirements are met when the student completes the first solo flight. FCCJ does not provide the airplane or the flight instruction required. All training is done at a private flight school of the students choice and at the students expense. FCCJ will award college credit for this instruction to currently enrolled Aviation Operations A.S. degree seeking students who have completed a minimum of three ATT, ASC or ATF courses appropriate to their degree at FCCJ. This credit will be awarded upon presentation of proof of solo flight (instructor endorsement and flight logged in student logbook).
