This course is a study of the philosophical and historical back grounds of fire protection services including the role and responsibilities of the fire service, the organization and function of federal, state, county and private fire protection agencies, a review of municipal fire defenses, fire prevention principles, techniques of fire control, codes and ordinances, the problems of the fire administrator and a survey of professional fire protection career opportunities.
