FFP 2401 Hazardous Materials I — 3 Credit Hours

This course presents the basic fundamentals of chemistry used in fire science types of chemicals and processes, and laws at federal, state and local levels pertaining to use, storage and transportation of chemicals. Topics also covered include hazards of radioactives, pre cautions to observe in fighting fires involving hazardous materials and laboratory demonstrations of incompatibles. Three contact hours. A.S., A.A.S.
