HIM 2810 Professional Practice Experience II — 2 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: HIM 1800. This course will provide students with a supervised experience in a Health Information Management Department. Review of basic department functions. Emphasis will be placed on intermediate functions of advanced coding of inpatient records, health care statistics, cancer registries and information systems. Five contact hours (clinical).
