Prerequisite: AER 1352. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory, operation and repair of battery, starting and charging systems. Performance skills require the systematic diagnosis and repair of the base electrical systems in todays automobiles. Component construction and operation will be learned. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
