Prerequisites: COP 2702 and COP 2741 or verifiable Oracle database work experience. This is an advanced course in Oracle database administration. This class is a lecture/lab course designed to be taught in a computer lab. A series of database projects using Oracle software is designed to build familiarity with using Oracle clusters, DB2-UDB on Linux, Data Warehousing, and miscellaneous other topics including Oracle Advanced Replication. The objectives of this course are to increase under standing of Oracle database administration, to extend knowledge beyond Oracle Enterprise Manager, and to build a working knowledge and hands-on familiarity with modern data base administration procedures.
