Workforce Credit Certificate Courses
Prerequisite: HCP 0103. This course is the first of two sequential courses designed specifically to orient individuals to the health care delivery system and medical assisting career. The course provides students with educational skills needed to function at a competent job entry level as a medical assistant. Students will study the following: Medical terminology, nursing skills, administration skills, clinical competencies, behavior adjustments and clinical skills including electrocardiogram assisting. Clinical externship is included to enhance further development of clinical skills.
