Workforce Credit Certificate Courses
Prerequisite: MEA 0560. This course is the second of two sequential courses designed specifically to orient individuals to the health care delivery system and medical assisting career. The course provides students with skills in medical laboratory procedures, radiology, computer, lab, receptionist duties, bookkeeping, scheduling appointments, medical records, and processing insurance forms including coding and health modifications. Clinical externship in medical offices and clinics provides opportunities to apply skills in a work setting.
