 Courses College Credit Courses OPT 2940 Ophthalmic Medical Practicum I — 3 Credit Hours Prerequisites: OPT 1110, OPT 1210, OPT 1330, OPT 1150, OPT 2090, OPT 2222, OPT 2375, OPT 2375L, OPT 2500, OPT 2800L, OPT 2801L. Corequisites: OPT 2350 and OPT 2223. This course is an externship in an approved ophthalmological practice. The student will gain a working knowledge of the basic duties and responsibilities of an ophthalmic technician in a medical office. Emphasis will be placed on the development of skills in refractometry, tonometry and visual fields. Nine contact hours (practicum). A.S., A.A.S.
