Prerequisites: OPT 1110, OPT 1210, OPT 1330, OPT 2090, OPT 2222 and OPT 2800L. Corequisites: OPT 2375, OPT 2375L, OPT 2500 and OPT 2801L. This course examines the lenses used in vision correction for the human eye. Components of the refractive power of the lens will be given, including the sphere, cylinder and axis, as well as reading addition. Incorporated prism in spectacle lenses will be discussed. Lens designs, materials and treatments will be included in this course. Three contact hours: one lecture hour, two laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
