OPT 2941 Ophthalmic Medical Practicum II — 4 Credit Hours

Prerequisites: OPT 1110, OPT 1210, OPT 1330, OPT 1150, OPT 2090, OPT 2222, OPT 2223, OPT 2350, OPT 2375,OPT 2375L, OPT 2500, OPT 2800L, OPT 2801L and OPT 2940. Corequisites: OPT 2351 and OPT 2802L. This course is an externship in an approved ophthalmological practice. The student will build upon a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the ophthalmic technician in a medical office. Emphasis will be placed upon the development of skills in contact lens fitting and advanced clinical skills. Twelve contact hours (practicum). A.S., A.A.S.
