Prerequisite: Acceptance in the Ophthalmic Technician program. Corequisites: OPT 1110, OPT 2222 and OPT 2800L. This course describes the detailed anatomy of the human eye. Included in this course are embryology and development of the eye, the orbit and external structures surrounding the eye, as well as the extraocular muscles. The anterior segment, refractive structures, and posterior segment are discussed in detail. Vascular supply to the eye and surrounding structures is described, as well as the nerve supply and the visual pathway. Three contact hours. A.S., A.A.S.
