Prerequisite: AER 1007. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include entry-level theory, operation and repair of automotive electricity and electronics circuits including measurements required in system diagnosis. Performance skills include the construction of electrical circuits using automotive components and electrical measurements needed to repair todays automotive electrical systems. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. AS., I.E.
