Prerequisite: AER 2355. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory, operation and diagnosis of electrical and electronic ignition systems. Performance skills include the diagnostics and repair required on todays automobile electronic ignition systems. Systematic skill will be developed in fault and component testing. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
