Prerequisite: AER 1613. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory and operation of manual and automatic temperature control heating/air conditioning systems. Performance skills will be demonstrated in heating/ac manual and automatic system diagnosis and repair including blower control and air distribution. Front, dual zone and rear systems will be covered. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
