Prerequisite: AER 1238. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory, operation and repair of 4-wheel drive and all-wheel drive systems. Performance skills include diagnosis, removal/ installation and repair of 4-wheel and all-wheel drive components and units. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
