Prerequisite: AER1423. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory, operation and repair of todays anti-lock brake systems. Specific manufacturers procedures will be emphasized for the replacement, repair, installation and bleeding of anti-lock hydraulic components. Both vehicle warning light and appropriate scan tools will be utilized for diagnosis and repair. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
