AER 1457 Steering and Suspension: Module III, Alignment, Wheels and Tires — 1 Credit Hour

Prerequisite: AER 1456. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory, operation and repair of todays vehicle alignment systems including strong emphasis on manufacturers specifications. Performance skills include computer balancing, runout checks on tires and wheels, and determining repairs required to return vehicles alignment to recommended specifications. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
