Prerequisite: AER 2504. This course is designed with knowledge-based, performance-based and intern-based skills identified as standards for the automotive industry. Topics will include theory, diagnosis and repair of conventional and computer driven ignition systems. Performance skills include testing and diagnostics of conventional and electronic ignition systems. The knowledge skills represent theory of the topics and support the mastery of the performance-based skills for this topic. Twenty-two and one-half contact hours: fifteen lecture hours, seven and one-half laboratory hours. A.S., A.A.S.
